Our Mission and Impact: How We Make a Difference
A community where the greater percentage has biblical knowledge and can confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. We at Christ Power Ministries believe that the more we preach and spread the gospel of Christ Jesus, as commanded by Him (Matthew 28:19-20), the more believers we shall gain for the Kingdom for eternity.
Our Vision
Building a community with the zeal to turn away from the sight of the devil. The fact that knowledge is power (Hosea 4:6). As we endeavor to make Jesus Christ known inside and outside the church, the power of knowledge about Him, His power, and His promises embedded in the hearts of the saints is a trigger to trust Him alone—an ignition that makes one turn away from the devil by trusting Jesus Christ alone.
Our Objectives
- To transmit, propagate, and communicate the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the community and the youth in universities, schools, and other academic institutions.
- To equip Christians and new converts for spiritual maturity and train them to share the gospel, thus fulfilling the great commission.
- To provide trained and experienced personnel, upon request and in coordination with both mission churches and governmental agencies, to fill needed posts in medicine, agriculture, and education, with the understanding that they would be free to propagate their faith as an integral part of their professional service.
- To build or assist in building churches, mission houses, schools, hospitals, or other buildings in connection with and for the advancement of the gospel.
- To offer various forms of psychosocial support to interest groups such as youth, women, the disabled, orphans, street children, married couples, and HIV/AIDS victims.
- To establish and manage investments to promote the ministry’s objectives and to organize short-term trainings to enhance available potentials.
- To establish orphanages and care homes for those found helpless and vulnerable in the community as centers to nurture them in the word of God and other life skills.
- To provide further education opportunities for vulnerable individuals through comprehensive training programs.
Our Activities
- Organizing conferences and seminars for both youth and adults.
- Conducting door-to-door evangelism and crusades to bring more souls into the kingdom of God.
- Promoting vocational, artistic, and craft skills among the youth.
- Establishing and strengthening fellowships, life skills, and providing study and career guidance in schools.
- Organizing missions and youth camps to discover physical and spiritual potentials.
- Establishing or organizing prayer meetings/altars aimed at nurturing the gifts and callings of the youth.
- Mobilizing financial and technical support to enhance the ministry.
- Promoting good morals, life skills, and home care among the youth to prepare them for future families.
Funding
- Doing all such other things as may be incidental or conducive or connected thereto for the attainment of the said objectives.
- We do not have any reliable source of funding other than our own pockets, friends, sympathizers, well-wishers, donations in kind, and grants.
Our Approach
As a voluntary Christian-based initiative, we collaborate through partnerships and networks with other local and international charities that share Christian values supporting our cause.
Our Challenges
Christ Power Children’s Ministry (CPCM) faces significant challenges in providing support to children, exacerbated by the current inflation in Uganda. These children lack basic necessities such as food, education, clothing, bedding, shelter, and medical care. Many are abandoned due to their parents or guardians being unable to afford these essentials or evading their responsibilities. Some children become orphans when a parent dies, and subsequent marriages by their surviving parent may lead to domestic abuse and neglect. Others are abandoned outright, leaving them to fend for themselves on the streets without any support. While organizations strive to protect and provide for these children, the country has not done enough to meet their needs, leaving them without the conducive environment required for healthy growth and enjoyment of their rights. CPCM is dedicated to helping these disadvantaged children out of compassion, but as a voluntary initiative, we are constrained by limited resources. Our aim is to reach as many children as possible, but we cannot do this without external support. CPCM also faces the challenge of not owning land, necessitating the rental of premises where the children reside and our offices are located.
